Meet Dr. Carl Pesta
Dr. Carl Pesta completed his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his internship at McLaren Hospital and his surgical residency at McLaren Macomb in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
With more than 20 years of surgical experience and specialization in both General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Pesta brings a broad range of experience. He also helps train the next generation of surgeons as a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS) and a faculty member of the McLaren Macomb General Surgery Residency Program.
In 2023, he also won the Patient Safety Excellence Award for his strong record in preventing infections, errors, and other complications. That recognition reflects his hands-on commitment to doing things right, every time.
